October 1, 2024 Workshop Information

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Healthy Lawns and Healthy Waters Program will host a residential rainwater harvesting and turf management training October 1, 2024 for Bandera County.

The free event will be at the Medina Community Library, 3948 State Hwy 16 N. Medina, Texas, from 1 – 5 p.m. October 1, 2024.

Attendees can submit a soil test by picking up soil test bags and dropping off their soil sample and Urban Information sheet at the AgriLife Extension offices in Bandera County prior to or by one week following the meeting. Also, you can bring your soil sample to the program. The training will include information on how to understand soil test results and nutrient recommendations so residents can interpret results once the analysis is emailed to them.

Soil Testing

Participants will also receive a free soil test bag and soil test analysis through the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Soil, Water and Forage Testing Laboratory. Please read soil testing instructions or watch an instructional video to correctly collect your 0-6 inch soil sample.
